'The Antenna'
Lake Macquarie City Council, 2018
The artwork is supported with the aid of intelligent lighting that responds to local environmental conditions.
The Antenna - like an obelisk - marks a symbolic centre to Charlestown, where the youth play a pivotal role enlivening the place. At over 6 metres high, the artwork is suggestive of a youthful community - rising up as Charlestown continues to grow and rise with it - both physically and metaphorically.
The artworks futuristic aesthetic is supported with the aid of intelligent lighting, which responds to changing local environment conditions.
